SONICblue

SONICblue began as two companies, S3 and Diamond Multimedia. In September of 1999 they merged and ultimately changed the name S3 to SONICblue in November 2000.

SONICblue purchased ReplayTV in August 2001 and during the SONICblue era ReplayTV released the ReplayTV 4000, 4500 and 5000 products.

In early 2003, SONICblue declared bankruptcy and at it's auction for Rio and ReplayTV brands, D&M Holdings purchased them from SONICblue.
